"Running is the classical road to self-consciousness, self-awareness and self-reliance. Independence is the outstanding characteristic of the runner. He learns the harsh reality of his physical and mental liminitations when he runs. He learns that personal commitment, sacrifice and determination are his only means to betterment. Runners only get promoted through self-conquest." ~Noel Carroll, Irish track trailblazer

new day

well, my commitment of "blogging" every day went down the tubes from day one. Oh well. I did also say that might be more like once a week. I think that is a bit more doable and more my style!!

yesterday I started a new medication for my RA. the idea of sitting in a chair with a needle in my arm for over 6 hours doesn't exactly sound like the best way to spend a day, but it really wasn't all that bad. I did manage to catch a couple cat naps, read some magazines and even passed a few levels on Angry Birds.

All is good so far. I will go in for a second infusion in two weeks and that should be it for at least 6 months. Can't complain too much really. I was able to get up this morning and run 6 miles with my running buddies along Town Lake which always makes me happy! The only complaint I have is that I am retaining alot of water from the infusion. me no likey! :o)

I'm Posting Every Day in 2011!

I’ve decided I want to blog more. Rather than just thinking about doing it, I’m starting right now. I will be posting on this blog once a day (or at least once a week) for all of 2011.

I know it won’t be easy, but it might be fun, inspiring, awesome and wonderful. Therefore I’m promising to make use of The DailyPost, and the community of other bloggers with similiar goals, to help me along the way, including asking for help when I need it and encouraging others when I can.

If you already read my blog, I hope you’ll encourage me with comments and likes, and good will along the way.

Signed,

Kelli
